There are two days left before we welcome the last month of 2017 and whether we like it or not the cold is already a part of our life. Although the nights might not be the warmest, we are lovers of night walks and all the beautiful sights which can only be appreciated during the that time of day.
In this penultimate post in November we decided to head to Malaga, one of the pearls of Andalusia and a place where (even at this time) you can enjoy more pleasant temperatures than in the central and northern parts of the country.
The best starting point for a nocturnal tour in the city that saw the birth of the great Pablo Picasso is from our boutique hotel in Malaga, Petit Palace Plaza Málaga, an establishment located less than five metres from the main street of the city and in the vicinity of numerous taverns and restaurants full of unique flavours local to this area
Once we leave behind the Petit Palace Plaza Málaga hotel, the best idea is to go straight to Calle Larios. This street is not only the place with the shops of the main national and international brands and around it we can see the unfinished cathedral of Malaga, the beautiful and narrow Passage of Chinitas and other beautiful areas of the city .
The best idea is to visit a couple of stores before they close and try the typical Iberian ham and wine in one of the taverns that you find near Calle Larios. Why not continue the tour with a nighttime visit to the Puente de la Aurora.
Located in the historic centre of Malaga, the Puente de la Aurora is a pedestrianised bridge that offers a really nice view over the city and becomes a really popular sight during the most popular events in the city (such as Semana Santa in Malaga) ). Therefore, a visit is highly recommended.
To finish of your tour it’s time to get to know the nightlife that comes to life at the best bars in Malaga. Many of them are located near the seafront, just a few metres from the Malagueta which is also a great place to take some impressive pictures of the coastal area of the city. The most famous? The Gold Room, Wengé Room or the Premier Room, decorated like an authentic Hollywood movie set.
