A total of thirty-two hotels in competition offering a huge selection of tapas, all different flavours and colours. Yes, all that and much more is what we offer this summer with this gastronomic plan in Madrid: the so-called Hotel Tapa Tour. An initiative in which a large number of famous hotels in the capital participate and we would also like to join our chain of urban hotels Petit Palace.
After a successful first edition that took place in the city of Barcelona (between 4 and 14 May), the Madrid edition of Hotel Tapa Tour comes with renewed energy to bring lovers of good gastronomy a catalogue of tapas, of which the best tapas from the four and five star hotels in Madrid are entered. The customers can then rate each of the dishes that are offered.
The Petit Palace Savoy Alfonso XII Hotel is one of the outstanding hotels in this gastronomic competition and generally considered one of the most luxurious hotels in Madrid, a place where every detail is taken care of and each flavour and each dish is cared for. All those who have visited the wonderful hotel for their holidays only have good things to say.
For this edition of Hotel Tapa Tour, the kitchen team of the Hotel Petit Palace Savoy Alfonso XII have come up with two tapas that are already being talked about for their quality, flavour and presentation.
The first tapa to be entered into the competition by our Madrid hotel is the so-called “Black Rice sepia wrapped in nori seaweed accompanied by a plankton mahonesa “. A tapa that is paired with Viña Pomal Blanco and can be tried for just nine euros.
For one euro more the second tapa that our hotel has entered into the Hotel Tapa Tour is presented. An elaborate tapa made of sweet potatoes cooked with cilantro, pepper, tomato, salt, olive oil and lemon, accompanied by grilled octopus covered with a black garlic oil. The pairing for this dish is by Legaris Verdejo. The best part? That all the money collected by the sale of this tapa will go to the NGO Aida.
