In many cases, planning a family holiday can be really stressful, especially in winter: where to go? What to do? Will the kids get bored? Will there be activities for them in our destination? Questions that would be resolved if we choose the ideal destination.
Valencia is a family tourism destination, a city where kids will have fun as never before. If you are travelling with your family and want to stay a few days at one of Petit Palace’s hotels in Valencia, write down some ideas that will make your kids happy.
What about a bus trip? Valencia is easy to explore and you can perfectly visit it on foot or public transport. While walking all day could be tiring for the children, you can also choose to take a sightseeing bus tour from uptown. We don’t know why, but the combination “bus” and “kids” is always a great success. Try it and tell us afterwards.
You should also stop at the popular Gulliver Garden in Turia Gardens on your tour through Valencia. Although it is not possible to see the whole figure from the ground, you can see the giant Gulliver lying and offering us great slides, ramps, bridges and castles. A paradise for kids and an idyllic place for tired parents to sit for a while (there are not many benches. If you can get one free, take it).
For those kids who have their parents’ traveller and cultural interest, the Natural Science Museum in Valencia is a must-visit. It is located in Jardines del Real and it is full of identical replicas of dinosaurs, mammoths and other ancient and present animals. It is easily accessible from any place in the city.
Bioparc is our last recommendation because of its natural environment. In the heart of Avenida Pio Baroja, in this big zoological park we can find lots of African species in spaces where the natural characteristics of each region are totally preserved (so kids have fun while animals are not suffering). It is a must-visit you should include in your tour as it has more than 4000 animals and 250 species.
